What We Do

The CERCB provides expertise in achieving sustainable development at national and international levels. In alliance with others, we support policy reform to end global poverty and ensure fair and sound management of the world’s resources. We are working, with our partners, to have a real impact on policy and practice at national and global levels, combining a range of tools, skills and actions throughout a wide variety of activities.

Research & Consulting Activities

The CERCB conducts rigorous research, produces high quality research and policy reports, and offers in-depth advisory and consulting services.

 

A sample of core activities include:

 

  • Carrying out empirical research and presenting policy options to enhance macroeconomic stability, fiscal transparency, accountability, and efficient domestic revenue mobilisation,

  • Undertaking project evaluation and needs assessment exercises for state and non-state actors in Africa,

  • Stimulating debate and dialogue about policy issues in Sierra Leone in particular and Africa in general,

  • Producing consolidated tax and expenditure statistical bulletins, and

  • Undertaking large-scale taxpayer and household surveys
